9th of November was the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall and the first step towards the reunification of Germany. The historic moment was celebrated throughout the city and in the evening at 8.30pm a flash mob took place on the entire stretch of where the Wall used to be. People gathered and lit a candle in memory of the events that took place 20 years ago.

“Dr. Motte präsentiert: Party like it’s 1989″ was the party event of the theme days of ’1989 Globale Geschichten’ event/ exhibition/ discussions in ‘Haus der Kulturen der Welt’. As the Berlinale is drawing to an end, with the award ceremony tomorrow (Sat 14th) evening I believe it is time to post some flix as memory of an interesting week, actually 10 days, here in Berlin. As tickets were scarce they were difficult to get hold of, at least for paying audience as myself. Nevertheless we made it to some movies of which none were disappointing, which of course was nice.
Of the screening cinemas the Berlinale Palast is the one to see the movies in if one wants to mingle with the stars and everyone else who think they are stars. These are some of the pictures and movie clips from the premieres. If more come up I will post these at my photo page http://www.timingearth.com
