What value has freedom of speech when no one listens? In search for larger audience I am happy to announce that I have teamed up with Dutch online magazine The Pop-Up City in order to become editor with primary focus on Shanghai’s urban temporalities. The Pop-Up City is a project by Golfstromen focusing on interventions and less static elements of contemporary cities and culture.

Another issue of Canadian magazine On Site is out. This time with the focus on migration. I have contributed with a piece called ‘network society of bad space’. It is a comment on settling with something that never really satisfy you, while building castles in the sky.. or in Croatia. If you do not have a subscription yet it is time to get one. I’m sure that would please the Canadian guys putting a lot of effort in the mag.

Mauermob 2009 – 20 year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall

9th of November was the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall and the first step towards the reunification of Germany. The historic moment was celebrated throughout the city and in the evening at 8.30pm a flash mob took place on the entire stretch of where the Wall used to be. People gathered and lit a candle in memory of the events that took place 20 years ago.
